こねこのツキと よるのうみTsuki the Kitten and the Night Sea

静しずかな 夜よるが やってきました。 子猫こねこの ツキは 窓まどから 空そらを 見上みあげます。 お月つきさまが きらきら 光ひかっています。A quiet night has arrived. Tsuki the kitten looks up at the sky from the window. The moon is shining brightly.

ツキは お散歩さんぽに 出でかけました。 とことこ とことこ。 やわらかい 風かぜが ふわふわ 吹ふいています。Tsuki went out for a walk. Pitter-patter, pitter-patter. A soft breeze is gently blowing.

道みちの 先さきに 大おおきな 海うみが ありました。 波なみが ざざーん ざざーん。 お月つきさまの 光ひかで 海うみが ぴかぴか 光ひかります。At the end of the path, there was a big sea. The waves go splash, splash. The sea sparkles in the moonlight.

海うみの 中なかから だれかが 顔かおを 出でしました。 くじらの ウミくんです。 ウミくんは 大おおきな 体からだを ゆらゆら ゆらします。Someone poked their head out of the sea. It was Umi the whale. Umi sways his big body back and forth.

ウミくんが 言いいました。 ツキちゃん、ぼくの 背中せなかに のってみる？ のりたい。 ツキは うれしそうに うなずきます。Umi said. Tsuki, would you like to ride on my back? Yes, I would. Tsuki nodded happily.

ツキは ウミくんの 背中せなかに ぴょんと とびのりました。 ウミくんの 背中せなかは 広ひろくて 温あたたかいです。 すべすべ つるつる 気持きもちいいな。Tsuki hopped onto Umi's back. Umi's back is wide and warm. So smooth and slippery, it feels nice.

ウミくんが すーっと 泳およぎだしました。 波なみが さらさら さらさら。 潮風しおかぜが そよそよ 吹ふいています。Umi started swimming gently. The waves go swish, swish. The sea breeze is softly blowing.

海うみの 上うえを すいすい 進すすみます。 ツキは ウミくんの 背中せなかで 寝ねころびました。 お星ほしさまが ちかちか まばたきしています。They glide smoothly over the sea. Tsuki lay down on Umi's back. The stars are twinkling and blinking.

あれは 何なんの 星ほし？ ツキが 聞きくと ウミくんが 答こたえます。 あれは お魚さかなの 星ほしだよ。 きらきら 泳およいでいるみたいでしょう。What star is that? When Tsuki asked, Umi answered. That's the fish star. It looks like it's swimming, doesn't it?

お魚さかなの 星ほしは きらきら 光ひかります。 隣となりの 星ほしも きらきら。 その隣となりも きらきら。 夜空よぞらは 星ほしで いっぱいです。The fish star shines brightly. The star next to it sparkles too. And the one next to that sparkles too. The night sky is full of stars.

ウミくんが 静しずかに 歌うたいます。 ゆらゆら ゆらゆら おやすみよ。 きらきら きらきら お星ほしさま。 ツキの 目めが とろーんと なってきました。Umi sings quietly. Sway, sway, time to sleep. Twinkle, twinkle, little stars. Tsuki's eyes are getting droopy.

お月つきさまも やさしく 微笑ほほえんでいます。 丸まるい お顔かおで にっこにこ。 ツキ、今夜こんやは よい夢ゆめを 見みてね。The moon is smiling gently too. With a round face, smiling so wide. Tsuki, have sweet dreams tonight.

波なみの 音おとが 心地ここちよく 響ひびきます。 ざざーん ざざーん。 さらさら さらさら。 まるで 子守唄こもりうたの ようです。The sound of waves echoes peacefully. Splash, splash. Swish, swish. It's just like a lullaby.

ウミくんの 背中せなかが ゆっくり ゆれます。 ゆらん ゆらん。 ゆらん ゆらん。 ツキは 少すこしずつ 眠ねむくなってきました。Umi's back sways slowly. Rock, rock. Rock, rock. Tsuki is getting sleepy little by little.

風かぜが ふわふわ 頬ほおを なでます。 温あたたかくて やさしい 風かぜです。 ツキの 体からだが ぽかぽかしてきました。The wind gently strokes her cheeks. It's a warm and gentle wind. Tsuki's body is getting cozy and warm.

お星ほしさまが ささやきます。 おやすみ、ツキちゃん。 お月つきさまも ささやきます。 おやすみ、小ちいさな 子猫こねこさん。The stars whisper. Good night, Tsuki. The moon whispers too. Good night, little kitten.

ウミくんが そっと 言いいました。 ぼくが 守まもっているから 安心あんしんしてね。 ツキは にっこり 笑わらいました。 うん、ありがとう。Umi said softly. I'll keep you safe, so don't worry. Tsuki smiled. Thank you.

波なみが やさしく 歌うたいます。 ざざーん ざざーん。 おやすみ おやすみ。 よい夢ゆめを。The waves sing gently. Splash, splash. Good night, good night. Sweet dreams.

ツキは ウミくんの 背中せなかで まあるくなりました。 しっぽを 体からだに まきつけて。 小ちいさな あくびを ひとつ。Tsuki curled up on Umi's back. Wrapping her tail around her body. One small yawn.

お目めめが ゆっくり とじていきます。 夜空よぞらの 星ほしたちが やさしく 見み守まもります。 お月つきさまも にっこり 見み守まもります。Her eyes are slowly closing. The stars in the night sky watch over her gently. The moon watches over her with a smile too.

ゆらゆら ゆらゆら。 きらきら きらきら。 ざざーん ざざーん。Sway, sway. Twinkle, twinkle. Splash, splash.

ツキは 幸しあわせな 夢ゆめの 中なかへ。 温あたたかい ウミくんの 背中せなかで。 やさしい 星ほしたちに つつまれて。Tsuki drifts into happy dreams. On Umi's warm back. Surrounded by gentle stars.

さあ、君きみも お目めめを とじてみよう。 やさしい 波なみの 音おとを 聞きいてごらん。 ざざーん ざざーん。 さらさら さらさら。Now, you try closing your eyes too. Listen to the gentle sound of the waves. Splash, splash. Swish, swish.

お月つきさまが 君きみを 見み守まもっているよ。 お星ほしさまも きらきら 見み守まもっているよ。 安心あんしんして 眠ねむって 大丈夫だいじょうぶ。The moon is watching over you. The stars are twinkling and watching over you too. It's okay to fall asleep peacefully.

ゆらゆら ゆらゆら。 温あたたかい お布団ふとんの 中なかで。 やさしい 夜よるに つつまれて。Sway, sway. In your warm blanket. Surrounded by the gentle night.

今夜こんやも すてきな 夢ゆめが 見みられるよ。 ツキと ウミくんと 一緒いっしょに。 きらきら 星ほしの 海うみを 泳およごう。You'll have wonderful dreams tonight too. Together with Tsuki and Umi. Let's swim in the sparkling sea of stars.
