夜よるの森もりに、風かぜが吹ふいています。そよそよ、そよそよ。Wind blows through the night forest. Hush, hush.

小ちいさな小鳥ことりのぴこは、枝えだの上うえで目めをぱちりと開あけました。Little Pico the bird opens their eyes on a branch.

葉はっぱが揺ゆれて、さらさら、さらさらと鳴なっています。The leaves sway. Rustle, rustle.

空そらから、雨あめが降ふってきました。ぴちゃん、ぴちゃん。ぴちゃん、ぴちゃん。Rain begins to fall from the sky. Pitter, patter. Pitter, patter.

お母さん鳥おかあさんどりが、羽はねを広ひろげてぴこを包つつみました。Mother Bird spreads her wings and wraps Pico up.

「ねんねんよ」お母さん鳥おかあさんどりが歌うたいます。ちちち、ちちち。"Hush now, hush now," Mother Bird sings. Tweet, tweet.

森もりの音おとは、やさしく続つづきます。そよそよ、ぴちゃん、ちちち。The forest's sounds go on so gently. Hush, pitter, tweet.

ぴこは、そっと目めを閉とじました。Pico gently closes their eyes.
