ほしのルナとゆめのはなばたけLuna the Star and the Dream Flower Garden

夜空よぞらの高たかいところに、きらきら光ひかる小ちいさな星ほしがありました。その星ほしには、ルナという名前なまえの女おんなの子こが住すんでいました。ルナは光ひかのドレスを着きた、とてもやさしい子こでした。High in the night sky, there was a small star that twinkled brightly. A girl named Luna lived on that star. Luna wore a dress made of light and was a very kind child.

ルナのお仕事しごとは、毎晩まいばん、眠ねむっている子供こどもたちに素敵すてきな夢ゆめを届とどけることでした。ルナはいつも「みんなが幸しあわせな夢ゆめを見みられますように」と願ねがいながら、空そらを飛とんでいました。Luna's job was to deliver wonderful dreams to sleeping children every night. She always flew through the sky, wishing that everyone would have happy dreams.

ある晩ばん、ルナは困こまっていました。夢ゆめの種たねを入いれる袋ふくろが、からっぽになってしまったのです。「どうしよう。夢ゆめの種たねがないと、子供こどもたちに夢ゆめを届とどけられないわ」ルナは悲かなしそうにつぶやきました。One evening, Luna was worried. The bag she used to carry dream seeds had become completely empty. "What should I do? Without dream seeds, I cannot deliver dreams to the children," Luna murmured sadly.

その時とき、白しろい雲くもに乗のった女おんなの子こがやってきました。「わたしは雲くものユキ。どうしたの、ルナちゃん？」ユキはやさしくたずねました。ルナは自分じぶんの悩なやみを話はなしました。Just then, a girl riding on a white cloud came by. "I am Yuki the Cloud. What's wrong, Luna?" Yuki asked gently. Luna told her about her problem.

「それならば、夢ゆめの花畑はなばたけに行いってみたらどうかしら。そこには、きれいな夢ゆめの花はながたくさん咲さいているのよ」ユキが教おしえてくれました。「でも、ひとりで行いくのはちょっと怖こわいの」ルナはしょんぼりしました。"Then why don't you try going to the Dream Flower Garden? There are many beautiful dream flowers blooming there," Yuki told her. "But I'm a little scared to go alone," Luna said, looking down.

「大丈夫だいじょうぶ。わたしが一緒いっしょに行いってあげる」ユキはにっこり笑わらいました。ルナはとても嬉うれしくなりました。二人ふたりは手てをつないで、夢ゆめの花畑はなばたけを目指めざして飛とび立たちました。"Don't worry. I'll go with you," Yuki smiled warmly. Luna felt very happy. The two held hands and flew off toward the Dream Flower Garden.

しばらく飛とんでいくと、きらきら光ひかる湖みずうみが見みえてきました。その湖みずうみの中なかから、青あおい魚さかなが顔かおを出だしました。「こんばんは。ぼくは魚さかなのウミ。どこに行いくの？」After flying for a while, they saw a sparkling lake. A blue fish poked its head out of the lake. "Good evening. I'm Umi the Fish. Where are you going?"

ルナとユキは、夢ゆめの花畑はなばたけを探さがしていることを話はなしました。「ぼく、知しっているよ。この湖みずうみの向むこうにあるんだ。道案内みちあんないしてあげるね」ウミは元気げんきに言いいました。Luna and Yuki explained that they were looking for the Dream Flower Garden. "I know where it is. It's on the other side of this lake. I'll show you the way," Umi said cheerfully.

みんなで一緒いっしょに進すすんでいくと、遠とおくに甘あまい香かおりがただよってきました。「いいにおい。もうすぐかな？」ルナはわくわくしました。As everyone traveled together, a sweet fragrance drifted from far away. "What a nice smell. Are we almost there?" Luna felt excited.

やがて、目めの前まえに広ひろがったのは、見みたこともない美うつくしい花畑はなばたけでした。むらさきやピンク、水色みずいろの花はなが一面いちめんに咲さいています。花はなはまるで星ほしのようにきらきら光ひかっていました。Soon, spread out before them was the most beautiful flower garden they had ever seen. Purple, pink, and light blue flowers were blooming everywhere. The flowers sparkled like stars.

「わあ、きれい」ルナは思おもわず声こえをあげました。ユキもウミも、うっとりと花はなを見みつめていました。"Wow, how beautiful," Luna exclaimed. Yuki and Umi gazed at the flowers in wonder.

花畑はなばたけの真ん中まんなかに、大おおきな白しろい花はなが咲さいていました。「あれは夢ゆめのお母かあさんの花はなよ。あの花はなにお願ねがいすれば、夢ゆめの種たねをもらえるわ」ユキが教おしえてくれました。In the middle of the flower garden, a large white flower was blooming. "That is the Mother of Dreams flower. If you ask that flower, you can receive dream seeds," Yuki explained.

ルナはゆっくりと白しろい花はなに近ちかづきました。「お願ねがいします。子供こどもたちに届とどける夢ゆめの種たねをください」ルナは丁寧ていねいにお願ねがいしました。Luna slowly approached the white flower. "Please, may I have dream seeds to deliver to the children?" Luna asked politely.

すると、白しろい花はながやさしく揺ゆれて、金色きんいろの粉こながふわりと舞まい上あがりました。それはきらきら光ひかる夢ゆめの種たねでした。ルナの袋ふくろは、あっという間まに夢ゆめの種たねでいっぱいになりました。Then the white flower swayed gently, and golden powder floated up into the air. These were the sparkling dream seeds. Luna's bag was filled with dream seeds in no time.

「ありがとうございます」ルナは白しろい花はなに深ふかくおじぎをしました。「その種たねは、やさしい心こころを持もった子こにだけ、特別とくべつな夢ゆめを見みせてくれるわ」花はながやさしくささやきました。"Thank you so much," Luna bowed deeply to the white flower. "These seeds will show special dreams only to children with kind hearts," the flower whispered softly.

ルナはユキとウミに向むかって、にこにこ笑わらいました。「二人ふたりのおかげで、夢ゆめの種たねが見みつかったの。本当ほんとうにありがとう」二人ふたりもにこにこ笑わらいました。Luna smiled happily at Yuki and Umi. "Thanks to both of you, I found the dream seeds. Thank you so much." The two smiled back happily.

帰かえり道、ルナは考かんがえました。「今日きょう、新あたらしい友達ともだちができて、とても嬉うれしかったな。ひとりじゃできないことも、友達ともだちと一緒いっしょならできるんだね」On the way home, Luna thought to herself, "I made new friends today, and I am so happy. Things I cannot do alone, I can do with friends."

夜空よぞらに戻もどったルナは、さっそく夢ゆめの種たねをまき始はじめました。金色きんいろの種たねは、きらきら光ひかりながら地上ちじょうにおりていきます。Back in the night sky, Luna began to scatter the dream seeds right away. The golden seeds floated down to the ground, sparkling as they fell.

その夜よる、子供こどもたちはみんな、とても素敵すてきな夢ゆめを見みました。花畑はなばたけで遊あそぶ夢ゆめ、空そらを飛とぶ夢ゆめ、やさしい友達ともだちと出だ会あう夢ゆめ。That night, all the children had wonderful dreams. Dreams of playing in flower gardens, dreams of flying through the sky, dreams of meeting kind friends.

ルナはそっとささやきました。「今日きょうもたくさんの子供こどもたちが、幸しあわせな夢ゆめを見みてくれているわ。明日あしたもまた、素敵すてきな夢ゆめを届とどけに行いこう」Luna whispered softly, "So many children are having happy dreams tonight. Tomorrow, I will go deliver wonderful dreams again."

お月つきさまがやさしくほほえんでいます。お星ほしさまが静しずかにまたたいています。夜空よぞらはまるで、大おおきな夢ゆめの花畑はなばたけのようでした。The moon is smiling gently. The stars are twinkling quietly. The night sky looks just like a big dream flower garden.
