もりのほしあつめThe Forest Star Gathering

ある夜よる、うさぎのリンは、森もりの中なかで ふしぎな光ひかりを 見みつけました。One night, Rin the rabbit found a mysterious light in the forest.

きらきら 光ひかりる その光ひかりは、小ちいさな 星ほしの かけらでした。The sparkling light was a tiny piece of a star.

「あれ、お星ほしさまが 落おちてきたの」"Oh, did a star fall from the sky?"

リンは そっと 手てを のばして、星ほしの かけらを ひろいました。手てのひらの 上うえで、星ほしは あたたかく 光ひかりっています。Rin gently reached out and picked up the star piece. In the palm of her hand, the star glowed warmly.

「この星ほしさん、お空そらに 帰かえりたいのかな」"I wonder if this little star wants to go back to the sky."

リンが 困こまっていると、りすのスズが やってきました。While Rin was wondering what to do, Suzu the squirrel came by.

「どうしたの、リンちゃん。なにか きらきら しているね」"What's wrong, Rin? Something is sparkling there."

「お星ほしさまが 落おちてきたの。お空そらに 帰かえしてあげたいんだけど、どうすれば いいか わからないの」"A star fell from the sky. I want to send it back up, but I don't know how."

スズは 考かんがえました。Suzu thought about it.

「そうだ、高たかい ところに のぼれば、お空そらに 近ちかづけるよ」"I know! If we climb somewhere high, we can get closer to the sky."

ふたりは 森もりの 中なかを 歩あるいて、一番いちばん 高たかい 丘おかを めざしました。The two friends walked through the forest, heading for the highest hill.

とちゅうで、ふくろうのオトに 出会であいました。オトは 夜よるの 森もりを よく 知しっています。On the way, they met Oto the owl. Oto knew the forest at night very well.

「こんばんは。こんな 夜よるおそくに どこへ 行いくの」"Good evening. Where are you going so late at night?"

「お星ほしさまを お空そらに 帰かえしに 行いくの」"We're going to return a star to the sky."

リンが 手てのひらの 星ほしを 見みせると、オトは やさしく うなずきました。When Rin showed the star in her palm, Oto nodded gently.

「それなら 手伝てつだうよ。ぼくは 空そらを 飛とべるから、道案内みちあんないを するね」"Then I'll help you. I can fly through the sky, so I'll guide the way."

三人さんにんは 一緒いっしょに 丘おかを のぼりはじめました。暗くらい 森もりの 道みちを、星ほしの 光ひかりが やさしく 照てらしてくれます。The three friends began climbing the hill together. The star's light gently lit the dark forest path.

「ここ、すべりやすいから 気きをつけて」"Be careful here, it's slippery."

オトが 前まえを 飛とびながら、あぶない ところを 教おしえてくれます。Oto flew ahead, warning them about dangerous spots.

「リンちゃん、つかれたら 言いってね。ぼくが 荷物にもつを 持もつから」"Rin, let me know if you get tired. I can carry things for you."

スズが やさしく 声こえを かけてくれます。Suzu called out kindly.

リンは 友達ともだちの やさしさが、とても うれしく なりました。Rin felt so happy about her friends' kindness.

やっと 丘おかの てっぺんに つきました。夜空よぞらには たくさんの 星ほしが かがやいています。Finally, they reached the top of the hill. The night sky was filled with shining stars.

「わあ、お星ほしさまが いっぱい」"Wow, there are so many stars."

リンは 手てのひらを 空そらに むけました。すると ふしぎなことが 起おこりました。Rin held up her palm toward the sky. Then something wonderful happened.

手てのひらの 星ほしが ふわりと うかびあがり、ほかの 星ほしたちが きらきらと またたきました。The star in her palm floated gently upward, and the other stars twinkled brightly.

「おかえり」「おかえり」「待まっていたよ」"Welcome back." "Welcome back." "We were waiting for you."

星ほしたちが よろこんでいるように 見みえました。The stars seemed to be celebrating.

小ちいさな 星ほしは、くるくると まわりながら、夜空よぞらへ のぼっていきます。The little star rose into the night sky, spinning around and around.

そして ほかの 星ほしたちの 間あいだで、うれしそうに かがやきはじめました。Then it began to shine happily among the other stars.

「よかったね。おうちに 帰かえれたね」"I'm so glad. You made it home."

リンが うれしそうに 言いうと、スズも オトも にっこり 笑わらいました。When Rin said this happily, Suzu and Oto smiled too.

「みんなで 一緒いっしょに きて よかったね」"I'm glad we all came together."

「うん。ひとりじゃ できなかったよ。ありがとう、スズちゃん、オトくん」"Yes. I couldn't have done it alone. Thank you, Suzu. Thank you, Oto."

その時とき、夜空よぞらから きらきらと 光ひかりが ふってきました。それは 星ほしたちからの おれいでした。Just then, sparkling light fell from the night sky. It was a thank-you gift from the stars.

「きれい」"How beautiful."

「まるで 星ほしの シャワーみたい」"It's like a shower of stars."

三人さんにんは 夜空よぞらを 見上みあげながら、しあわせな 気持きもちに なりました。The three friends looked up at the night sky, feeling so happy.

「そろそろ 帰かえろうか。明日あしたも あそぼうね」"Shall we go home now? Let's play again tomorrow."

「うん、約束やくそくだよ」"Yes, it's a promise."

リンと スズと オトは、星ほしあかりに 照てらされながら、おうちへ 帰かえりました。Rin, Suzu, and Oto walked home, bathed in starlight.

おふとんに 入はいると、リンは 今日きょうの ことを 思おもい出だしました。友達ともだちと 一緒いっしょなら、なんでも できるんだな。When Rin got into bed, she remembered everything that happened today. With friends by your side, you can do anything.

窓まどの 外そとでは、あの 小ちいさな 星ほしが、特別とくべつに 明あかるく またたいていました。まるで「ありがとう」と 言いっているみたいです。Outside the window, that little star was twinkling especially bright. It seemed to be saying "thank you."

リンは うとうとと 目めを とじました。Rin's eyes slowly closed.

夢ゆめの 中なかでも、星ほしたちが やさしく かがやいていました。Even in her dreams, the stars were shining gently.
