はりねずみの ふくと あまやどりFuku and the Rain Shelter

小ちいさな はりねずみの ふくは、はじめて 一人ひとりで 森もりへ 行いきました。Little Fuku the hedgehog went into the forest alone for the very first time.

空そらが きゅうに くもって、ぽつん ぽつんと 雨あめが おちてきました。Suddenly the sky grew dark, and rain began to fall, drip by drip.

ふくは あわてて、大おおきな はっぱの 下したに かけこみました。Fuku hurried and dashed under a big leaf.

そこには すでに、かたつむりが いました。There was already a snail resting there.

「いっしょに 入はいっても いい？」と ふくが 聞きくと、かたつむりは にっこり うなずきました。"Can I come in with you?" Fuku asked, and the snail nodded with a smile.

二人ふたりは はっぱの 下したで、雨あめの 音おとを 聞きいていました。The two of them listened to the sound of the rain under the leaf.

ぽつぽつ、ぱらぱら、雨あめは まるで 歌うたを 歌うたっているようでした。Pitter patter, pitter patter, the rain sounded just like a song.

しばらくすると 雨あめは やみ、空そらには きれいな にじが かかりました。Before long the rain stopped, and a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky.

ふくは かたつむりに 「ありがとう」と 言いって、家いえへの 道みちを 歩あるき出だしました。Fuku said "thank you" to the snail and started walking home.

家いえに つくと、お母かあさんが やさしく むかえてくれました。When Fuku got home, mother welcomed him warmly.

ふくは あたたかい ふとんに 入はいり、今日きょうの できごとを 思おもい出だしながら、ゆっくりと 目めを とじました。Fuku climbed into a warm bed, thinking about today's little adventure, and slowly closed his eyes.
