つきへのぼうけんAn Adventure to the Moon

昔むかし 昔むかし、雪ゆきみたいに まっ白しろな 子こぎつねが いました。名前なまえは ユキくん。ユキくんは 毎晩まいばん、おやすみの前まえに 夜空よぞらを 見上みあげるのが 大好だいすきでした。Once upon a time, there was a little fox as white as snow. His name was Yuki. Every night before bed, Yuki loved to look up at the night sky.

「お月つきさま、今日きょうも きれいだなあ。いつか 行いってみたいなあ」ユキくんは そう 思おもいながら、きらきらひかる お月つきさまを ながめていました。"The moon is so beautiful tonight. I wish I could go there someday," Yuki thought as he gazed at the shining moon.

ある夜よる、ユキくんが いつものように 夜空よぞらを 見上みあげていると、ふしぎなことが 起おこりました。お月つきさまから、やさしい 光ひかりの すじが、まっすぐ ユキくんの ところへ のびてきたのです。One night, as Yuki was looking up at the sky as usual, something magical happened. A gentle beam of light stretched down from the moon, reaching straight toward Yuki.

「わあ、なんだろう」ユキくんは おそるおそる、光ひかりに 近ちかづいていきました。すると、光ひかりは にじ色いろの 橋はしに 変かわりました。「これは、月つきへの 道みちかな」"Wow, what is this?" Yuki slowly walked toward the light. Then the light transformed into a rainbow bridge. "Could this be the path to the moon?"

ユキくんは 勇気ゆうきを 出だして、にじ色いろの 橋はしを のぼり始はじめました。一歩いっぽ、二歩にほ、三歩さんぽ。歩あるくたびに、足あしの下したで にじが きらきらと かがやきます。Yuki gathered his courage and began climbing the rainbow bridge. One step, two steps, three steps. With each step, the rainbow sparkled beneath his feet.

雲くもの上うえを ふわふわと 歩あるいていくと、だんだん お月つきさまが 大おおきくなってきました。「もう少すこしで、月つきに つくよ」ユキくんは うれしくなって、もっと 早はやく 歩あるきました。As he walked softly across the clouds, the moon grew bigger and bigger. "Almost there," Yuki thought happily, walking faster and faster.

「ようこそ、お月つきさまへ」ふりかえると、まっ白しろな うさぎさんが 立たっていました。「私わたしは 月つきの うさぎの ルナ。君きみのこと、待まっていたのよ」"Welcome to the moon," said a voice. Yuki turned around to see a pure white rabbit standing there. "I am Luna, the moon rabbit. I have been waiting for you."

「ぼくを 待まっていたの？」ルナは うなずいて、ユキくんの 手てを 取とりました。「今夜こんやは、星ほしの かけらを 集あつめる 夜よるなの。一緒いっしょに 来きてくれる？」"You were waiting for me?" Luna nodded and took Yuki's paw. "Tonight is the night we gather star fragments. Will you come with me?"

ユキくんは こくりと うなずきました。二人ふたりは 月つきの 上うえを 歩あるいて、最初さいしょの 場所ばしょに つきました。小ちいさな 湖みずうみが ありました。Yuki nodded eagerly. Together, they walked across the moon until they reached a small lake.

「湖みずうみの 底そこに、青あおい 星ほしの かけらが あるわ」ユキくんが 湖みずうみを のぞきこむと、水みずは 透明とうめいで、底そこに きらきらと 青あおくひかる 何なにかが 見みえました。"At the bottom of this lake, there is a blue star fragment," Luna explained. Yuki peered into the lake. The water was crystal clear, and something was glowing blue at the bottom.

「手てを 入いれて、やさしく すくってみて」ユキくんは 水みずに 手てを 入いれました。水みずは 冷つめたくなくて、ほんのり あたたかかったです。やさしく すくい上うえげると、手てのひらに 青あおい 星ほしの かけらが 残のこりました。"Put your paw in and gently scoop it up." Yuki dipped his paw into the water. It was not cold at all, but warm. As he gently lifted his paw, a blue star fragment remained in his palm.

「この 花はなの 真まん中なかに、金色きんいろの 星ほしの かけらが あるの」ユキくんは そっと 花はなに 近ちかづいて、真まん中なかを 見みました。金色きんいろの 小ちいさな かけらが、ひかっていました。ユキくんが やさしく 手てを のばすと、かけらは ふわりと 手てのひらに のりました。"In the center of this flower, there is a golden star fragment." Yuki gently approached the flower and looked into its center. A tiny golden fragment was glowing inside. When Yuki reached out gently, the fragment floated softly onto his palm.

「あと 一ひとつよ」ルナは 空そらを 見上みあげました。遠とおくに、ピンク色いろに かがやく 雲くもが ありました。「あの 雲くもの中なかに、最後さいごの かけらが ねむっているわ」"One more to go," Luna said, looking up at the sky. In the distance, a cloud glowed pink. "The last fragment is sleeping inside that cloud."

ふたりは 雲くもへ 向むかって、ふわふわと とびました。雲くもの 中なかは、わたあめみたいに やわらかくて、あまい 香かおりが しました。The two of them floated toward the cloud. Inside, it was as soft as cotton candy and smelled sweet.

雲くもの 真まん中なかに、ピンクの 星ほしの かけらが ねていました。ユキくんが そっと 手てを のばすと、かけらは 目めを さまして、にっこり 笑わらいました。「見みつけてくれて、ありがとう」ピンクの かけらは、ユキくんの 手てのひらに ぴょんと とびのりました。In the center of the cloud, a pink star fragment was sleeping. When Yuki gently reached out, the fragment woke up and smiled. "Thank you for finding me." The pink fragment hopped onto Yuki's palm.

三みっつの 星ほしの かけらを 持もった ユキくんの 手てのひらで、かけらたちが くるくると 回まわり始はじめました。青あおと、金色きんいろと、ピンクの 光ひかりが まざり合あって、一ひとつの きれいな ペンダントに なりました。In Yuki's palm, the three star fragments began to spin round and round. Blue, gold, and pink lights swirled together and became one beautiful pendant.

「これは 夢ゆめの ペンダント。持もっていると、すてきな 夢ゆめが 見みられるわ」ルナは ペンダントを ユキくんの 首くびに かけてくれました。"This is a Dream Pendant. If you keep it with you, you will have wonderful dreams," Luna said as she placed the pendant around Yuki's neck.

「そろそろ 帰かえる 時間じかんね。また いつでも 遊あそびに来きてね」ルナは ユキくんの おでこに、そっと キスを しました。"It is time to go home now. Come visit again anytime," Luna said, giving Yuki a gentle kiss on his forehead.

ユキくんの 体からだが、やさしい 光ひかりに つつまれました。ふわり、ふわり。雲くもの上うえを 通とおって、にじの 橋はしを おりて、気きがつくと、ユキくんは 自分じぶんの ベッドの 上うえに いました。Yuki's body was wrapped in soft light. Floating, floating. Over the clouds, down the rainbow bridge, and before he knew it, Yuki was back in his own bed.
