ルルとほしふねのぼうけんLulu's Adventure on the Star Ship

ある　晩ばんの　こと、ルルは　窓まどの　外そとを　ながめていました。空そらには　きらきらと　お星ほしさまが　かがやいています。One evening, Lulu was gazing out the window. The stars were twinkling brightly in the sky.

「お星ほしさま、今日きょうも　きれいだなあ」ルルが　そう　つぶやいた　その時とき、一ひとつの　お星ほしさまが　すうっと　近ちかづいて　きました。"The stars are so beautiful today," Lulu whispered. Just then, one star slowly drifted closer.

「こんばんは、ルル。わたしは　星ほしふねの　ミミ。いっしょに　空そらの　旅たびに　出でかけない？」"Good evening, Lulu. I am Mimi, the Star Ship. Would you like to go on a journey through the sky with me?"

みると、うさぎの　形かたちを　した　ふしぎな　船ふねが　窓まどの　外そとに　うかんでいます。うさぎの　耳みみが　きらきらと　光ひかっていました。Looking outside, Lulu saw a magical ship shaped like a rabbit floating by the window. The rabbit's ears were sparkling with light.

「本当ほんとうに　空そらを　飛とべるの？」"Can you really fly through the sky?"

「もちろんよ。さあ、のって」ルルは　思おもいきって　星ほしふねに　乗のりこみました。ミミが　長ながい　耳みみを　ぱたぱたと　動うごかすと、船ふねは　ふわりと　うかびあがりました。"Of course. Come aboard." Lulu bravely climbed onto the Star Ship. When Mimi flapped her long ears, the ship gently floated up into the air.

「わあ、おうちが　小ちいさく　なっていく」町まちの　明あかりが　まるで　星ほしの　ように　きらきら　光ひかっています。"Wow, my house is getting smaller and smaller." The lights of the town sparkled like stars below.

「これから　星ほしの　森もりに　行いくわ。そこには　ねむれない　子こどもたちの　ために、夢ゆめの　種たねを　育そだてている　場所ばしょが　あるの」"We're going to the Star Forest. There's a place where they grow dream seeds for children who can't sleep."

星ほしふねは　雲くもの　間あいだを　ぬけて、どんどん　高たかく　のぼっていきます。やがて、きらきらと　かがやく　ふしぎな　森もりが　見みえてきました。The Star Ship passed through the clouds and climbed higher and higher. Soon, a magical forest glowing with sparkles came into view.

「あれが　星ほしの　森もりよ」"That's the Star Forest."

森もりに　着つくと、たくさんの　小ちいさな　光ひかが　飛とびまわっていました。よく見みると、それは　ほたるの　ような　生いきものでした。When they arrived at the forest, many tiny lights were flying all around. Looking closely, they were creatures like fireflies.

「この　子こたちは　夢ゆめぼたる。みんなの　夢ゆめを　運はこんでいるのよ」夢ゆめぼたるたちは　ルルの　まわりを　くるくると　飛とびまわります。"These little ones are dream fireflies. They carry everyone's dreams." The dream fireflies flew in circles around Lulu.

「かわいいなあ」"How cute."

その時とき、森もりの　奥おくから　泣なき声こえが　聞きこえてきました。Just then, they heard crying from deep in the forest.

「だれか　泣ないているの？」"Is someone crying?"

ルルと　ミミは　声こえの　する　方ほうへ　歩あるいていきました。すると、小ちいさな　くまの　子こが　しゃがみこんで　いました。Lulu and Mimi walked toward the sound. There, they found a little bear cub crouching down.

「どうしたの？」くまの　子こは　なみだを　ぽろぽろ　こぼしながら　言いいました。"What's wrong?" The little bear said, tears rolling down his cheeks.

「ぼく、まいごに　なっちゃったんだ。お母かあさんの　ところに　帰かえりたいよう」"I got lost. I want to go back to my mommy."

ルルは　くまの　子この　そばに　しゃがみこみました。Lulu crouched down beside the little bear.

「大丈夫だいじょうぶ。いっしょに　さがそうね」"It's okay. Let's find her together."

ミミが　長ながい　耳みみを　ぴんと　立たてました。Mimi perked up her long ears.

「くまさんの　お母かあさんは　どこに　住すんでいるの？」"Where does your mommy live, little bear?"

「月つきの　みずうみの　そばだよ」"By the Moon Lake."

「わかったわ。星ほしふねで　つれていってあげる」"I see. We'll take you there on the Star Ship."

ルルは　くまの　子こを　だきあげて、星ほしふねに　乗のせました。星ほしふねは　ゆっくりと　空そらを　飛とんでいきます。Lulu lifted the little bear and placed him on the Star Ship. The Star Ship flew slowly through the sky.

やがて、銀色ぎんいろに　かがやく　うつくしい　みずうみが　見みえてきました。Soon, a beautiful lake shimmering in silver came into view.

「あ、月つきの　みずうみだ」"Oh, it's the Moon Lake."

みずうみの　ほとりに、大おおきな　くまが　心配しんぱいそうに　あたりを　見みまわしていました。By the shore of the lake, a big bear was looking around worriedly.

「お母かあさん」くまの　子こが　大おおきな　声こえで　よびました。"Mommy," the little bear called out loudly.

「ああ、よかった。ずっと　さがしていたのよ」"Oh, thank goodness. I've been looking for you everywhere."

お母かあさんぐまは　くまの　子こを　ぎゅうっと　だきしめました。Mother Bear hugged her little cub tightly.

「ルル、ミミ、本当ほんとうに　ありがとう」くまの　子こは　にっこり　笑わらいました。"Lulu, Mimi, thank you so much." The little bear smiled happily.

「また　遊あそぼうね」"Let's play again sometime."

ルルも　うれしくなって　手てを　ふりました。Lulu waved her hand happily too.

「うん、また　会あおうね」"Yes, let's meet again."

ミミが　ルルに　やさしく　言いいました。Mimi spoke gently to Lulu.

「そろそろ　おうちに　帰かえる　時間じかんよ。明日あしたも　楽たのしい　一日いちにちに　なるように、ゆっくり　休やすんでね」"It's time to go home now. Rest well so tomorrow will be another fun day."

星ほしふねは　ゆっくりと　ルルの　おうちに　向むかいました。窓まどから　そっと　部屋へやに　もどると、ルルは　あたたかい　おふとんに　もぐりこみました。The Star Ship slowly headed back to Lulu's house. Slipping quietly back into her room through the window, Lulu snuggled into her warm blanket.

「今日きょうは　すてきな　冒険ぼうけんだったなあ」"What a wonderful adventure today was."

窓まどの　外そとでは、ミミが　やさしく　手てを　ふっていました。Outside the window, Mimi was waving gently.

「おやすみ、ルル。すてきな　夢ゆめを　見みてね」"Goodnight, Lulu. Sweet dreams."

ルルは　しあわせな　気持きもちで　目めを　とじました。Lulu closed her eyes, feeling happy.

「おやすみ、ミミ。また　いっしょに　冒険ぼうけん　しようね」"Goodnight, Mimi. Let's go on another adventure together."

そして、ルルは　きらきらの　星ほしの　夢ゆめの　中なかへ、そっと　しずんでいきました。And Lulu gently drifted into a sparkling dream of stars.
