Yuhi and the Night Boat
One night, Yuhi lay in bed, unable to fall asleep. Outside the window, a round moon floated in the sky.
Suddenly, something glimmered near the pillow. Yuhi looked closer and found a small boat resting there. The moment Yuhi placed a hand on it, Yuhi's whole body floated gently into the air.
Before long, Yuhi was sailing through the night sky in the little boat. Stars drifted past, twinkling close by. "Where are we going?" Yuhi whispered softly.
Just then, a small bird came flying over. "I am Tsukishiro. I will guide you to the Harbor of Dreams," said the bird, landing gently on the bow of the boat.
The boat sailed on happily among the stars. But after a while, a great wall of clouds blocked the way, and the boat came to a sudden stop.
Oh no, we cannot move forward," said Yuhi, heart pounding. Then Tsukishiro spoke. "Even a small voice is fine. Try singing a song."
At first, Yuhi's voice trembled. But taking a slow, deep breath, Yuhi hummed a favorite song. Softly, the clouds melted away, and a path opened up ahead.
As the boat passed through the clouds, a warm light appeared, and the Harbor of Dreams came into view. "This is the Harbor of Dreams. Your voice opened the way, Yuhi," said Tsukishiro with a happy smile.
A warm, gentle feeling filled Yuhi's chest. The boat sailed quietly on, and before long, Yuhi was back in bed. Outside the window, the moon shone softly. Good night.
