ゆきのけっしょうのなかのおしろThe Castle in the Snowflake

静しずかな　冬ふゆの　夜よる、空そらには　きらきらと　星ほしが　輝かがやいていました。その星ほしの　光ひかりを　集あつめる　小ちいさな　精霊せいれいの子こが　いました。名前なまえは　リン。リンの　体からだは　やわらかな　光ひかりで　包つつまれていて、夜よるの　空そらを　ふわふわと　飛とんでいきます。On a quiet winter night, the stars sparkled brightly in the sky. There was a little spirit child who gathered the light of stars. His name was Rin. Rin's body was wrapped in soft light, and he floated gently through the night sky.

「今夜こんやは　特別とくべつに　きれいな　雪ゆきが　降ふっているな」リンは　まわりを　見みわたしました。雪ゆきの　結晶けっしょうが　ひとつひとつ　きらきらと　輝かがやきながら　落おちてきます。どれも　星ほしの　かけらみたいに　きれいです。"Tonight, such beautiful snow is falling," Rin looked around. Snowflakes were falling one by one, sparkling as they drifted down. Each one was as pretty as a piece of starlight.

その時とき、リンは　とても　大おおきな　雪ゆきの　結晶けっしょうを　見みつけました。ほかの　結晶けっしょうより　ずっと　大おおきくて、中なかが　青あおく　光ひかりっています。「わあ、なんだろう？」リンは　近ちかづいて　のぞきこみました。Just then, Rin found a very large snowflake. It was much bigger than the others, and it glowed blue inside. "Wow, what is this?" Rin flew closer and peeked inside.

結晶けっしょうの　中なかには、なんと　小ちいさな　お城しろが　ありました。氷こおりで　できた　きれいな　お城しろです。塔とうは　きらきらと　輝かがやき、窓まどからは　温あたたかい　光ひかりが　もれています。リンは　そっと　結晶けっしょうの　中なかに　入はいっていきました。Inside the snowflake, there was a tiny castle! A beautiful castle made of ice. The tower sparkled brightly, and warm light shone through the windows. Rin quietly stepped into the snowflake.

お城しろの　中なかは　とても　不思議ふしぎな　場所ばしょでした。壁かべは　透明とうめいな　氷こおりで　できていて、天井てんじょうには　星ほしの　光ひかりが　ちりばめられています。「ようこそ、小ちいさな　光ひかりの　精霊せいれいさん」やさしい　声こえが　聞きこえました。The inside of the castle was a very magical place. The walls were made of clear ice, and the ceiling was decorated with starlight. "Welcome, little spirit of light," a gentle voice called out.

振ふり向くと、そこには　美うつくしい　氷こおりの　女王じょおうが　いました。白しろくて　長ながい　髪かみと、青あおい　目めを　した　女王じょおうです。「私わたしは　シオ。この　雪ゆきの　結晶けっしょうの　お城しろに　住すんでいるの」シオは　にっこり　笑わらいました。Rin turned around, and there stood a beautiful Ice Queen. She had long white hair and blue eyes. "I am Shio. I live in this castle inside the snowflake," Shio smiled warmly.

「シオさま、リンと　言いいます。こんな　素敵すてきな　場所ばしょが　あったなんて」リンは　きらきらと　輝かがやきながら　言いいました。その時とき、ふわふわと　白しろい　ものが　飛とんできました。"Queen Shio, my name is Rin. I never knew such a wonderful place existed," Rin said, sparkling brightly. Just then, something white and fluffy came flying toward them.

「やあ、お客きゃくさまだね！」それは　雪ゆきで　できた　うさぎでした。まっ白しろな　毛皮けがわと、小ちいさな　青あおい　目めを　しています。「ぼくは　テン。この　お城しろの　案内役あんないやくなんだ」テンは　ぴょんぴょん　跳はねながら　言いいました。"Hello, a visitor!" It was a rabbit made of snow. It had pure white fur and small blue eyes. "I'm Ten. I'm the guide of this castle," Ten said, hopping up and down.

テンは　リンを　お城しろの　中なかへ　案内あんないしてくれました。氷こおりで　できた　不思議ふしぎな　部屋へやが　たくさん　あります。星ほしの　光ひかりを　集あつめる　部屋へや、雪ゆきの　結晶けっしょうを　作つくる　部屋へや、そして　夢ゆめを　見みる　部屋へや。Ten showed Rin around the castle. There were many magical rooms made of ice. A room for gathering starlight, a room for making snowflakes, and a room for dreaming.

「この部屋へやは　何？」リンが　一番いちばん　奥おくの　部屋へやを　指さしました。部屋へやの　中なかには　大おおきな　氷こおりの　鏡かがみが　あります。「これは　幸しあわせの　鏡かがみ」シオが　やさしく　答こたえました。「のぞくと、大切たいせつな　人ひとが　見みえるの」"What is this room?" Rin pointed to the room at the very back. Inside the room was a large ice mirror. "This is the Mirror of Happiness," Shio answered gently. "When you look into it, you can see the people you love."

リンが　鏡かがみを　のぞくと、小ちいさな　町まちが　見みえました。そこには　眠ねむっている　子こどもたちが　います。みんな　幸しあわせそうに　夢ゆめを　見みています。「ぼくの　光ひかりは、この　子こたちの　夢ゆめを　守まもっているんだね」リンは　うれしく　なりました。When Rin looked into the mirror, a small town appeared. There were children sleeping peacefully. They all looked so happy as they dreamed. "My light is protecting the dreams of these children," Rin felt so happy.

「そうよ」シオが　言いいました。「あなたが　集あつめた　星ほしの　光ひかりは、子こどもたちの　夢ゆめを　やさしく　照てらしているの。だから　みんな　安心あんしんして　眠ねむれるのよ」"That's right," Shio said. "The starlight you gather gently lights up the dreams of children. That's why everyone can sleep peacefully."

テンが　温あたたかい　雪ゆきの　お茶ちゃを　持もってきてくれました。「これを　飲のむと、心こころが　ぽかぽかに　なるよ」リンは　ひと口くち　飲のみました。不思議ふしぎ。冷つめたいはずなのに、体からだの　中なかから　温あたたかく　なります。Ten brought some warm snow tea. "If you drink this, your heart will feel all warm and cozy." Rin took a sip. How strange! Even though it should be cold, warmth spread through Rin's body.

「そろそろ　夜よるが　明あけるわね」シオが　窓まどの　外そとを　見みました。空そらが　少すこしずつ　明あるく　なっています。「リン、また　いつでも　遊あそびに　来きてね」"The night will be ending soon," Shio said, looking out the window. The sky was slowly getting brighter. "Rin, please come visit us again anytime."

リンは　雪ゆきの　結晶けっしょうから　外そとに　出でました。空そらには　朝あさの　光ひかりが　広ひろがりはじめています。振ふり返かえると、結晶けっしょうは　きらきらと　輝かがやきながら　空そらに　舞まい上あがっていきました。Rin stepped out of the snowflake. The morning light was spreading across the sky. When Rin looked back, the snowflake sparkled as it floated up into the sky.

「また　冬ふゆの　夜よるに　会あおうね」リンは　手てを　振ふりました。シオと　テンの　姿すがたが　結晶けっしょうの　中なかで　小ちいさく　見みえます。二人ふたりも　手てを　振ふっています。"Let's meet again on a winter night," Rin waved. Shio and Ten looked small inside the snowflake. They were waving too.

リンは　温あたたかい　気持きもちで　いっぱいに　なりました。冬ふゆの　夜よるには　素敵すてきな　秘密ひみつが　隠かくれているんだね。リンは　空そらを　飛とびながら　思おもいました。Rin felt so warm and happy inside. There are wonderful secrets hidden in winter nights, Rin thought while flying through the sky.

きみも　幸しあわせな　夢ゆめを　見みてね。シオと　テンが　やさしく　見み守まもっているよ。さあ、目めを　閉とじて。ふわふわの　雲くもの　上あで　休やすもうね。May you have happy dreams too. Shio and Ten are watching over you gently. Now, close your eyes. Let's rest on a fluffy cloud.
